Who we are:
Sweetwater C.A.M.P. was
founded in 1968 as a coalition of local
churches and quickly grew in support from
the business community, civic and social
groups, and caring individuals. Originally
a small clothing distribution center, our
organization has grown into a multi-faceted
agency offering emergency assistance with
food, clothing, and financial aid to
thousands of our neighbors each year. Our
mission continues today with a small
dedicated staff and a compliment of over 100
devoted volunteers.

What we do:
For 40 years CAMP has reached
out to our neighbors to help them in their
time of need. We strive to provide comfort,
aid, and stability during emergency
situations. Our Food Pantry, Clothing Closet
and Financial Aid office are open six days a
week from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Services are
available to residents of Clarkdale,
Austell, Mableton and Powder Springs who are
currently at or below the federal poverty
level. In 2007 we provided more than
382,500 pounds of food, served 2,107 meals,
distributed 64,400 items of clothing, and
gave over $71,000 in direct financial
assistance to help with prescription
medications, household utilities, and rent.
